The Court
A standard indoor court is 18 meters long and 9 meters wide, divided into two 9×9 m halves by a net. The net height is 2.43 m for men and 2.24 m for women, measured at the centre. An attack line is drawn 3 meters from the net on each side, separating the front row (attack zone) from the back row. The free zone around the court extends at least 3 meters on all sides to allow safe play. The antennae — flexible rods on each side of the net — mark the lateral boundaries within which the ball must cross. If the ball travels outside the antennae or touches them, it is out of play.
