Each team may touch the ball a maximum of three times (not counting a block) before it must cross the net. A single player may not touch the ball twice consecutively.
The ball must be hit cleanly — it cannot be caught, held, or thrown. Contact must be momentary and the ball must rebound.
Players rotate one position clockwise each time their team wins the right to serve. The player moving to position 1 becomes the new server.
Players may not touch the net during play. Any body contact with the net while making a play is a fault.
Players may cross under the net provided they do not interfere with the opponent. A full foot completely over the line is a fault.
Back-row players may not attack the ball above net height while jumping from in front of the 3-meter attack line.
The libero cannot serve, block, or attack the ball above net height. May set overhead only from behind the 3-meter line.
