Italy defeated Japan in straight sets (3-0) in the FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League 2026 on 21 June 2026 in Pasig City, Philippines.

The second set was the most closely contested, with Italy edging Japan 25-23 to take a 2-0 lead before closing out the match 25-18 in the third set.
